Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire OX20 1UL | 28 August - 31 August 2024

Britain’s Greatest Palace

A masterpiece of Baroque architecture at the heart of the majestic Oxfordshire countryside and the principal residence of the 12th Duke of Marlborough, Blenheim Palace boasts a distinguished heritage to match its imposing but elegant presence.

Built in the early 18th century, it is universally admired for its stunning design and spectacular gardens, created by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. Blenheim is equally cherished as the birthplace of our ‘Greatest Briton’, Sir Winston Churchill, and played an influential role in in his life.

Its historical and cultural significance is recognised today by UNESCO World Heritage Site status. Blenheim Palace is truly a magnificent and awe-inspiring setting. We’re proud to call it the home of Salon Privé.

Things to do at Blenheim Palace:

Explore Park and Gardens

Surrounding the palace are the Formal Gardens, each with its own uniquely beautiful features. From the enchanting serenity of the Water Terraces, reminiscent of the Parterre d’Eau at Versailles, to the perfect pink symmetry of the Rose Gardens, they are justifiably treasured in their own right.

Beyond the meticulously maintained gardens and Great Lake – traversed by ‘the finest bridge in Europe’ – lies a further vast expanse of greenery in the landscaped parkland surrounding Blenheim. The park enhances the imposing splendour of the palace, providing a glorious backdrop to Salon Privé’s unique event.

Tour the Palace

Official tours provide a fascinating insight into Blenheim’s captivating 300-year story, eventful and rich with character. They include State Room tours revealing opulent interiors, and the Churchill Exhibition featuring photographs, letters and artefacts honouring the inspirational wartime leader.
