Built in the early 18th century, it is universally admired for its stunning design and spectacular gardens, created by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. Blenheim is equally cherished as the birthplace of our ‘Greatest Briton’, Sir Winston Churchill, and played an influential role in in his life.

Surrounding the palace are the Formal Gardens, each with its own uniquely beautiful features. From the enchanting serenity of the Water Terraces, reminiscent of the Parterre d’Eau at Versailles, to the perfect pink symmetry of the Rose Gardens, they are justifiably treasured in their own right.
Beyond the meticulously maintained gardens and Great Lake – traversed by ‘the finest bridge in Europe’ – lies a further vast expanse of greenery in the landscaped parkland surrounding Blenheim.
