Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) LTD is the British manufacturer behind the world’s first road- legal, single-seater supercar – the iconic BAC Mono – and new-generation products in the shape of the BAC Mono R and new BAC Mono (2022). The Liverpool-based business was founded in 2009 by brothers Neill and Ian Briggs, who set about providing a vehicle to the world with a singularity of purpose for offering the most authentic and pure driving experience possible.
BAC’s latest offering, Mono R, serves as The New Reference: the very pinnacle of design, innovation and engineering. It sports a stunning new generation of Mono DNA, features revolutionary new materials and technology and offers world-beating performance on the road and track.
R is 38bhp more powerful and 25kg lighter than the standard Mono, at 343bhp and 555kg – equating to a truly remarkable power-to-weight ratio of 618bhp-per-tonne. In fact, its bespoke 2.5-litre engine offers the highest specific output of any naturally aspirated, road-legal model in history – at 137bhp per litre. Such phenomenal performance has seen R already break a number of production car lap records around the globe, with many more set to fall in the near future.
