Bristol Cars is one of Britain’s most storied luxury marques. Founded in 1946 as the car division of the Bristol Aeroplane Company, it spent seven decades building hand-crafted grand tourers in small numbers for a discreet and loyal clientele, applying aircraft engineering standards to the motor car. From the Aerodynamic 400 of 1947, to the 210mph Fighter, every Bristol was built to order and built to last.

Today the marque is under new ownership. Bristol Car Group Ltd holds the complete Bristol Cars intellectual property and goodwill dating back to 1946, and is writing the company’s next chapter. Work is underway to complete the final examples of the Bristol Fighter, the V10 Supercar that crowned the company’s first era, with new Bristol models to follow.

At Salon Privé 2026, Bristol Cars presents the two bookends of that story: 400 Chassis number one, the first production Bristol, displayed alongside the newest Bristol Fighter. Eighty years of British engineering, and the start of the next eighty.
