Gladstone Motorcycles is a bespoke, British motorcycle manufacturer based in Oxfordshire. Gladstone’s mantra is to design and build the finest, timeless British custom motorcycles created for the “Discerning Hooligan”
Gladstone was formed in 2010 and is the brainchild of TV presenter Henry Cole best known for his long-running TV series; The Motorbike Show, World’s Greatest Motorcycle Rides, Shed and Buried and Find It Fix It Flog It for Channel Four.
Cole’s Great Great Uncle was Gladstone the Prime Minister, but Gladstone Motorcycles is actually named after Cole’s Great Uncle Dick ‘Red Beard’ Gladstone who was an eccentric collector of British Motorcycles.
Gladstone’s current model, The Gladstone No1 has sold out with a waiting list of over two years but Gladstone will be at Salon Privé to offer its accessories and apparel and to display their two record-breaking race bikes, on which Cole holds three pre-1955 land speed records.
Next year Gladstone will be competing against history again both at The Bonneville Salt Flats and El Mirage in California to hopefully add some more land speed records to their tally and to develop the next breed of road-going Gladstones due for release in 2019.
