Richards of England are Aston Martin, Bentley & Jaguar restoration specialists based in the Lincolnshire countryside. Their gated premises are monitored 24/7 and contain state-of-the-art workshops including: mechanical, fabrication, trim and a body shop. Their enjoyable sales experience sees clients presented with a leather-bound photo book on purchase, hand-crafted in the Connolly hide of their chosen motor and detailing all aspects of the restoration process.
From the initial disassembly to the final detailing, they have all the facilities and expertise needed for classic car restoration in-house. Their head fabricator, for example, has twenty-five years of experience working at Rolls-Royce and various Jaguar specialists. Their trimmer has forty-five year’s experience and has worked on many notable projects including a complete restoration of an original Rolls-Royce “Silver Ghost.” By operating as a small team, they are able to offer a personal service, whilst still being able to fulfil the requirements of a comprehensive restoration.
This year sees Richards of England unveil a 1957 Bentley S1 Fastback that’s just completed a 3-year restoration with them. Returned to its original factory condition, colours and specification, this fantastic Bentley is just 1 of 120 ever made. Its rarity is enhanced further by being one of the few remaining Fastbacks to have undergone a full body-off restoration. Its condition has not gone unnoticed and the car was handpicked by Opus to feature in their prestigious Bentley Centenary Opus. Printed and bound by-hand the Bentley Opus is a luxury book that tells the story of Bentley Motors throughout its history. Richards of England are very proud to have their Fastback selected.
Richards of England have also been restoring a 1971 Aston Martin DBS V8 in anticipation of Salon Privé. Targeted more towards the European and American market, their left-hand drive DBS is sure to turn some heads. Restored back to its original colour combination of “Cricket White” over an “Emerald Green” trim, this DBS V8 is the only DBS V8 to have ever left the factory in this stunning colour combination.
Both cars will be available exclusively at Salon Privé and will not be marketed before the event. Paul and James (from Richards of England) will also be on the stand to answer any questions regarding the cars. If you have a classic you wish to have restored or serviced, they will also be happy to answer any queries regarding their services.
