Founded in 2008, Thornley Kelham are world-renowned specialists in the art of restoration and modification. Based in the Cotswolds, their concours-level award-winning cars have captured the imagination of the most discerning collectors worldwide for their obsessive attention to detail, unrelenting pursuit of excellence, and an unwavering respect for heritage.

At Salon Privé, they are pleased to present two remarkable examples from their European Collection: the Jaguar XK European GT Coupé and, making its public debut, the Jaguar XK European GT Roadster.

The Jaguar XK European GTs are what Thornley Kelham believe to be “the best-handling Jaguar XK ever”, blending classic design with modern performance. Each is based on the legendary Jaguar XK120, reimagined for the 21st century driver. Beneath the surface lies a fully rebuilt, all-alloy 3.8-litre straight-six engine, 30% lighter and 200 bhp more powerful than the original, paired with a modern 5-speed gearbox, independent suspension, and all-around disc brakes.

The Roadster, seen here for the first time, offers an open-air driving experience with enhanced agility and assertive styling. The Coupé combines sleek, aerodynamic lines with long-distance touring comfort. Inside, both feature bespoke interiors crafted from the finest materials, with custom instrumentation and discreet modern upgrades such as power steering, air conditioning, and sound insulation.

Each car in the European Collection is a one-off commission – a bold reimagining that honours the spirit of the original while offering a new level of performance, reliability, and refinement.
