1926 Hispano Suiza H6B

History

Chassis 11608 was originally Hooper bodied and was displayed at the 1926 Olympia Motor Show. Unique to the show car is the Ivory covered dashboard with polished fittings. Installed on the bulkhead is a bell to summons the footmen forward when wishing to avail oneself of their services. The car together with his exploits appeared in Roy Bacon’s “The Golden age of Motoring”.

This car won many ‘Concours elegance’ shows including the 1927 Monte Carlo event, Grand Prix plus Silver Cup at Cannes, Grand Prix plus Plaquettes, Perrier Jouet Cup 1928 Bournemouth, Bainbridge Cup, Grand Banner Le Touquet, Grand Prix, Finest car all classes Southport, first prize cars over 1,500 pounds 1929 Brighton, Edin Trophy 1930 Cannes, Grand Prix and the Silver Challenge Cup.
