Ferrari 250 GT LWB Berlinetta TdF
This special 250 GT LWB Berlinetta TdF will join us in the Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance in the ‘Curvaceous Coupes 50s & 60s’ Class. Subject to a complete restoration in 2013, the car is now presented in the identical specification and appearence to how it was on leaving the factory in 1958; with covered headlights, Amaranto interior and grey carpets.
Chassis #0895GT has competed in many world-renowned events during its life including Mille Miglia, Greenwich Concours and Palm Beach Cavallino Classic. This stunning TdF comes complete with its original tools and books, and is certified by Ferrari Classiche.
In this very special year for the marque, #0895GT has been invited to join the 70th Anniversary celebrations in Maranello immediately after Salon Privé, and was also selected as one of 12 cars to appear in the Ferrari official calendar for 2017 – “Mito Ferrari 2017 Calendario Ufficiale”.
The car started its life as a first single louvre car, with covered headlights, Amaranto interior, Amaranto seats and grey carpets. It was registered in Florence with number plate FI 107.004, before being sold to another owner who cancelled its registration and returned it to the factory, converting it to open headlights and the Amaranto was painted over in silver.
In 2013, the car was in Modena being restored by the marque specialists and was followed by the ‘Classiche’ department of the Ferrari factory, with a home movie of the car filmed from start to finish of the restoration by its current owner.
The gorgeous TdF was driven out of the Ferrari factory after its final inspection at the Ferrari Classiche department in the exact same condition and looking identical to when it left the factory back in 1958.
#0895GT continues to be enjoyed frequently by its owner around the roads of Connecticut, USA, and we cannot wait to welcome her to the UK from the USA for the Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance at Blenheim Palace.
