Revolutionary Engler Desat Superquad set to stun at Salon Privé with global debut at Blenheim Palace
The global debut of the new Engler Desat, the dramatic evolution of the Slovakian company’s Superquad concept, will take place on the opening day of Salon Privé, Wednesday 31 August, as the ground-breaking marque returns to the baroque setting of Blenheim Palace.
With a unique livery and jaw-dropping performance, the new 2022 Engler Desat will be unveiled to press and media before starring on the lawns of the palace and making a dynamic appearance in the Salon Privé Classic and Supercar runs on Sunday 4 September.
The brainchild of Victor Engler, founder of Engler Automotive Limited, the Desat is the culmination of his determination to engineer and build his own vehicle. Starting with a unique vision, combined with 30-years’ experience, the result is the world’s only Superquad vehicle – a ground-breaking machine with uncompromising performance and dynamics.
With Desat a Slovakian reference to the Superquad’s thunderous V10 engine, the company has spent considerable time developing the engineering and technology required. The carbon body has been designed, developed, aerodynamically tested and manufactured in-house, along with the complex steering system.
Placing the rider at the centre of the vehicle, the Engler Desat delivers the tacticity and visceral involvement of a superbike with the raw speed and drama of a hypercar. Powered by a high-output 5.2-litre V10, the Engler Desat employs a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox to maximise performance and acceleration.
Forming an integral part of the unveiling, Engler’s partners include Michelin, who has developed tyres capable of handling the Desat’s performance envelope, and Ruroc, who has crafted a unique range of helmets to complement the Superquad’s design. Other partners include leading provider of automotive protective films and coatings XPEL, and in-depth detailing company Auto Finesse.
Vitor Engler, founder of Engler Automotive Limited, said: “Our first attendance at Salon Privé was also our only one during the pandemic period, where we presented the first functional Superquad. This year we return to the lawns of Blenheim Palace to once again show something unique – this time a vehicle in full armour with maximum performance. Salon Privé has become one of our favourite destinations and I believe it will become our annual tradition.”
David Bagley, Director of Salon Privé, said: “We are delighted to welcome Engler back to Blenheim Palace, for what promises to be a dramatic unveiling. The Desat Superquad is unlike any other vehicle, and perfectly captures the spirit of innovation and advanced engineering that we showcase over the five days of Salon Privé.”
A full media pack of the specifications of the Engler Desat, along with images and video, will be available to all media after the reveal on Wednesday 31 August.
Salon Privé’s reputation as a world-class event continues to grow as Blenheim Palace 2022 promises to be the best event yet. Following the success of the London event at Royal Hospital Chelsea in April with outstanding hospitality offerings, beautiful scenes and exceptional cars, the celebration of all things luxury in the automotive world and beyond continues for the Blenheim Palace edition. Taking place from Wednesday 31 August – Sunday 4 September 2022 Salon Privé returns to the UNESCO World Heritage Site and ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace.
