Concours Aficionado Jeremy Jackson-Sytner Joins Salon Privé

Salon Privé are delighted to announce the appointment of Jeremy Jackson-Sytner as Concours Curator with immediate effect.

Jeremy’s concours credentials are exemplary. Having created the Concours of Elegance back in 2011, he served as its curator for six years and then went on to act as consultant to a number of concours events around the world.

‘The chance to be part of the UK’s most established international concours was too good an opportunity to pass up,’ explained Jeremy, ‘and I’m joining the event at a time when the event has blossomed into a five-day fun-filled festival, aptly called Salon Privé Week. What the Bagleys have achieved at Blenheim Palace is to be both appreciated and celebrated, with the event evidently now sitting on the global stage.’

‘We’re very excited that Jeremy is joining us,’ said Salon Privé Chairman Andrew Bagley. ‘He clearly understands the concours world and appreciates that a concours, above all else, is a social gathering where collectors and enthusiasts come together to have fun – something the Salon Privé team puts at the forefront of all we do.’

Having been held slightly later last year due to the pandemic, Salon Privé returns to its traditional dates for 2021 and will take place on 1-5 September.

Now in its 16th year, Salon Privé Week is a must-attend series of events for any car enthusiast or aficionado. A Partner Concours to the Peninsula Classics ‘Best of the Best’ Award, Salon Privé is now recognised as one of the top events in the world alongside Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Held annually within the magnificent grounds of Blenheim Palace, it is firmly established as the UK’s most exclusive motor show.

In 2021, the Salon Privé Concours d’Elégance will welcome more than 100 of the most coveted cars and motorcycles in the world, all vying for recognition from the esteemed ICJAG Jury. The Show Field will feature treasures from Edwardian period as well as some of the rarest and most valuable grand tourers, classic sports racers, era-defining icons and racing legends. They will line up alongside the world’s latest and greatest supercars, plus concepts from the present and future.

Concours entrants will be treated to four days and nights of exclusive events and entertainment, beginning with Tour Privé on Tuesday 31 August. Participants will experience drinks receptions, street parties and gala evenings, culminating in a suitably triumphant Finale Awards Luncheon on Friday 3 September. Entries are now being invited for the Concours d’Elégance – for further details, please visit Salon Privé

Beyond the Concours there is plenty more to see, with a lawn full of the world’s most impressive luxury and supercar manufacturers, all showing their latest releases. In 2020, 25 Global, European and UK debuts took place on the South Lawn, confirming the event as a destination for new releases – a tradition that will be continued in 2021. Joining these brands are some of the most experienced and knowledgeable classic car dealers and restorers in the UK, each bringing their own specialist expertise and most desirable models for sale.

Following the Concours, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September will host new displays of supercars and classic cars to be counted in their thousands. Saturday’s Salon Privé Club Trophy presented by Lockton will feature the UK’s most prestigious single-marque car clubs, while Sunday’s Salon Privé Classic & Supercar is a public day shining a light on the 60th anniversary of the iconic Jaguar E-type.

From the globally renowned Concours d’Elégance to the presentation of the Club Trophy by Lockton, this year’s Salon Privé is set to be another unforgettable celebration of the very best that the motoring world has to offer.
