The Route to Zoute

Join us on a luxury tour that takes you indirectly to the world-famous Zoute Concours.

Part one is a two-day motoring adventure that winds its way on a set route through some of the most scenic landscapes in Northern Europe. The route takes us from the Pas-de-Calais region and through Belgium and the Netherlands.

Part two is a jam-packed weekend in Bruges and Knokke-Heist as guests of the motorfest party that is the Zoute Grand Prix. We will have the opportunity to see the latest automotive models at Prado Zoute, browse the Zoute Sale by Bonhams and enjoy a glass of champagne whilst viewing the famous Zoute Concours d’Elégance.

DAY ONE. THE ROAD TO BRUGES

Our adventure begins early in the morning, heading off through Northern France and into the Belgian countryside—all the cars roaring through the rural backroads to our final destination and host hotel, the 5* Hotel Dukes’ Palace, in the fairytale medieval town of Bruges.

Bruges is commonly called ‘The Venice of the North’ and it is easy to see why when arriving at what is one of the bestpreserved medieval towns in Europe. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000, its medieval buildings include the Church of Our Lady, whose brick spire reaches 115.6m making it the world’s second-highest brick tower/building. Bruges’ best known landmark is the Belfry of Bruges, a 13th-century belfry housing a municipal carillon comprising 47 bells.

After checking into your rooms, there will be time for a quick stroll before catching up on the day’s stories over dinner.

DAY TWO. ROUTE TO ZOUTE

Now we begin part two; a weekend in Bruges and Knokke-Heist as guests of the Zoute Concours d’Elégance. We start with a quick tour into the Netherlands for a delightful lunch, before winding our way to Knokke-Heist with the Zoute tourers.

On the Albertplein beach and in the Prado Zoute is where we stay for the afternoon, visiting the world’s top manufacturers and a private viewing of Bonhams Auction cars. Later, we are special guests at the Zoute Concours Gala Dinner, held at the Royal Zoute Golf Club.

This is a real highlight in the Belgian social calendar — be prepared to party, as the Belgians know how to put on a show. It won’t be an early night!

DAY THREE. THE ZOUTE CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE

Some speedy recovery required the morning after as we head back to Knokke-Heist for the Zoute Concours d’Elégance.

One of Europe’s elite Concours events, the cars really are the stars, although the entertainment is also hard to top.

You’ll enjoy a guided Champagne tour of all the cars—approximately 75 world class historic cars, all vying for Best of Show—at the Royal Zoute Golf Club.

After a buffet lunch at the Royal Zoute Golf Club, the party moves to ‘Prado Zoute’ at Albertplein beach, where you’ll witness the marvels of Bonhams at work, with the most successful SALE in Europe.

That evening we’ll regroup in Knokke-Heist for our end-of-tour dinner.

DAY FOUR. THE PRIVATE COLLECTION TOUR

On the final day, we head off to visit an exclusive private car collection.

We must thank the organisers of Zoute Grand Prix to be honoured with access to this world-class collection.

We’ll take in a final lunch together before winding our way back through Northern France and on to our return Eurotunnel
to the UK.
