The unique specialist dealer Concours returns to Blenheim Palace 3-5 September.
The Salon Privé Concours de Vente will again feature at Salon Privé Blenheim Palace following another successful presentation at Salon Privé London. Taking place for three days, beginning on Ladies’ Day Friday and over the weekend, entry into this unique Concours remains solely for classic car specialist dealers, with cars which must be for sale. Why do we call it unique? For two reasons: first, because at a conventional concours it’s strictly forbidden to enter a car that’s ‘for sale’; and second, because our event excludes privately owned entries.
Entry is open to cars registered before 1 Mar 2011.
Whilst the event is indeed a competitive showcase, every visitor to Salon Privé has the opportunity to acquire any of the entries in the Concours, there and then, so this September at Blenheim Palace, as a dealer you could win a prestigious award at a recognised concours and as a visitor you could buy a car which has already entered or perhaps even won a recognised concours.
Established classic car dealers are invited to present the pick of their inventory and compete for the Prix d’Honneur. Presented in the style of a Concours, cars on the lawn are judged in classes, with class winners awarded along with the People’s Choice. The overall best in show is awarded the Prix d’Honneur trophy during a finale awards parade on Sunday.
Cars will be judged over the course of the weekend, with the opportunity for guests to see the cars driven and presented during parades over the main stage. We are delighted to welcome a team of well-known experts to Salon Privé for the judging of this unique concours with Amanda Stretton heading the team.
The lawns will showcase many eminently collectable cars — all can be acquired on the day. From highly prized Aston Martin, mind-blowing Bugattis to coveted Ferraris and Lamborghinis, it’s a superlative roll call of the most acclaimed and alluring marques presented by the finest classic specialist dealers.
