80 Years of Grand Tourer: Maserati Club UK Display at Salon Privé
This September, Salon Privé will celebrate eight decades of Maserati Grand Touring, as Maserati Club UK brings together 16 remarkable cars at Blenheim Palace on Saturday 5 September.
Spanning generations of Italian design and performance, the display will tell the story of Maserati’s evolving interpretation of the Grand Tourer, from elegant cars of the 50’s and 60’s through to modern classics from the 80’s and 90’s.
The Maserati Grand Tourer
The Grand Tourer has always represented a special balance of performance, comfort and elegance. Cars created not simply for outright speed, but to make covering great distances an occasion in itself.
Few marques embody that philosophy quite like Maserati.
The display begins with the 3500 GT, a pivotal model that helped establish Maserati as a manufacturer of sophisticated road-going GT cars in the late 1950s. It will be joined by the Sebring, which combined the marque’s sporting pedigree with the elegance expected of a continental Grand Tourer.
From there, guests can discover the Mistral Coupé and Spyder, Mexico, Indy, Bora, Merak and Khamsin, capturing an extraordinary period of Italian automotive design.
The story continues with the Kyalami and Quattroporte III, before moving into a new generation with the Bi-Turbo Spyder, Ghibli Cup and 3200 Assetto Corsa.
Together, the 16-car display offers a fascinating journey through Maserati history and a rare opportunity to see so many significant models gathered in one spectacular setting.
An Extraordinary Saturday at Salon Privé
The Maserati celebration is just one highlight of Supercar Saturday.
Elsewhere at Blenheim Palace, Pagani and Bugatti go head-to-head in the Battle of the Hypercars, while live automotive parades bring the lawns to life throughout the day.
Between the cars, guests can explore luxury boutiques, enjoy Pommery Champagne bars, street food and hospitality, and soak up the unmistakable atmosphere of Salon Privé.
